Reality TV star Kim Kardashian and Former Miami Heat Alonzo Mourning host the 2009 Winterfest Boat Parade. Sponsored by the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, this year's theme, "That's Entertainment," will feature boats transformed into maritime theaters. One will showcase the Broadway hit Grease; another will display animated cartoon characters, organizers said.
Parade starts at 6PM and can be viewed in person along its route. Organizers expect 100 vessels of all makes and sizes to take part in the parade.
There will be a fireworks barge, a Superman boat (complete with Kryptonite) and a boat portraying a Caribbean Christmas.
"Even with the economy," parade marketing director Kathy Keleher said, "we've gotten a lot of new boats, a lot of good responses."
