Beyonce's Mom Tina Files For Divorce

Beyonce's mother, Tina Knowles, 55, filed for divorce from the pop diva's father and manager, Mathew Knowles, 58. Tina and Matthew have been married for almost 30 years.

The divorce filing came about a month after Mathew Knowles was named in a paternity suit. Los Angeles resident Alexsandra Wright claims in the lawsuit that he is the father of her unborn child.

“The decision to end our marriage is an amicable one. We remain friends, parents, and business partners,” the couple said in a statement provided to The Associated Press. “If anyone is expecting an ugly messy fight, they will be sadly disappointed. We ask for your respect of our privacy as we handle this matter.”

Tina Knowles and Mathew Knowles have been heavily involved in their daughters' careers. Mathew serves as a manager to Beyonce and Solange, while Tina was the costume designer of Beyonce's former music group Destiny's Child, and is currently serving as the creative director for House of Dereon, a fashion label with which Beyonce collaborates.

The couple has two children together: Beyonce, 28, and fellow singer Solange, 23.

Twiggy's magazine ad for an Oil of Olay beauty product has been banned in the UK, after more than 700 complaints gathered for a campaign against airbrushing in ads by the Liberal Democrat MP Jo Swinson.

In the ads, the 60-year-old Twiggy says, "Olay is my secret to brighter-looking eyes" and "Because younger-looking eyes never go out of fashion...it reduces the look of wrinkles and dark circles for brighter, younger-looking eyes."

The ad was deemed misleading in that it made it look like you could achieve plastic surgery-quality results from a cream in a jar.The ad came out in July so this ban isn’t going to do much other than send the message to advertisers that it’s unacceptable.

Procter & Gamble-owned Olay said that it was "routine practice to use post-production techniques to correct for lighting and other minor photographic deficiencies before publishing the final shots as part of an advertising campaign".

P&G added that there had been some "minor retouching" around Twiggy's eyes, which was inconsistent with its own policies; this had already prompted it to withdraw the original ad and replace with one in which there was no post-production work around the eyes.

Chris Henry Died After Falling Out of the Back of a Pick-up Truck

Cincinnati Bengals football player Chris Henry died after after falling out of the back of a pick-up truck in what authorities described as a domestic dispute with his fiancée Loleini Tonga.

Henry died at 6:36 a.m. ET Thursday, the statement said.

"Chris Henry died as a result of his injuries sustained during this incident," a Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police news release said. "Department detectives continue to work diligently on this active investigation."

Shortly before noon Wednesday, Henry's fiancée tried to drive off during a "domestic situation," only to have Henry jump into the bed of the truck, police said.

The 26-year-old receiver played for the Bengals for five seasons but was on the injured reserve list after suffering a fractured forearm during a November 8 game against the Baltimore Ravens. The 6-foot-4, 200-pound Henry caught 12 passes for 236 yards and two touchdowns in eight games this season before being hurt.

The actor was arrested after police received a 911 call from his Hollywood Hills home following an argument between him and his girlfriend. Togo’s girlfriend was injured but did not require emergency medical assistance.

Lindsay Lohan Lied About Saving 40 Children in India

Just last week, Lindsay Lohan tweeted about saving 40 kids in India. She appeared to boast of her role in the rescue and suggested that it had changed her life. "Over 40 children saved so far...... Within one day's work...... This is what life is about..... Doing THIS is a life worth living!!!" she said. She later added: "Focusing on celebrities and lies is so disconcerting, when we can be changing the world one child at a time.... hope everyone can see that."

But Lohan statement contradicted by social activist and lawyer, Bhuwan, responsible for rescuing the 40 children. Bhuwan has confirmed that Lohan wasn't even in the country when they were saved.

"She was not even in the country when this raid happened," he said. "We'll be complaining to the BBC and talking to our lawyers ... Would Lohan know where these workshops are?" Ruchira Gupta, an anti-trafficking campaigner, said: "If celebrities do it to get publicity then they are trivialising child-trafficking."

Despite initially reporting LiLo's tweet as a lie, the BBC has since released the following statement, "Lindsay Lohan has just completed filming in India for a BBC Three project on child trafficking. We would like to stress that she did not say she was present at the raid, this is a misinterpretation," the rep said. "She was merely referring to a raid that happened connected to child trafficking - the subject of the programme."

Rock singer Courtney Love has lost custody of her 17-year-old daughter Frances Bean Cobain for the second time, court papers have revealed. Frances is now being cared for by the late Nirvana frontman's mother and sister.

Courtney Love posted two incoherent and angry rants on her Facebook account to retaliate the losing custody of her teenage daughter Frances Bean Cobain. Excerpts from Courtney Love Facebook account:

Italian Premier Silvio Berlusconi was punched in the face at the end of a rally on Sunday (Dec. 13, 2009) by a man holding a small statue in his hand, leaving the 73-year-old media mogul with a bloodied mouth and looking stunned, police said. The 42-year-old man accused of attacking Berlusconi in Milan as he signed autographs was immediately taken into custody.

The attack occurred after Berlusconi had just finished delivering a long, vigorous speech at the rally to a crowd of applauding supporters from his Freedom People party at about 6:30 p.m.

Berlusconi got blood under his nose, on his mouth and under one eye being lifted to his feet by aides after the attack. Berlusconi was hustled into the back of a car, but he immediately got out, apparently in an effort to show he was not badly injured.

Berlusconi's spokesman, speaking by telephone from the emergency room from San Raffaele hospital where the premier was taken, told Sky TG24 TV that doctors had decided to keep the premier in the hospital overnight for observation.

"We'll see what the doctors say tomorrow morning," spokesman Paolo Bonauiti told Sky.

The exams of his jaw area included a CT scan, Bonaiuti said.

Police identified the man they were questioning as Massimo Tartaglia, 42. They said Tartaglia didn't have any criminal record.

Pro golfer Tiger Woods has announced on his personal website that he will take an indefinite break from professional golf, admitting he cheated on his wife and bowing to the pressure of two weeks of frenzied media scrutiny of his private life. Tiger Woods confessed "infidelity" for the first time, said he was sorry and asked his family, friends and supporters for forgiveness.

I am deeply aware of the disappointment and hurt that my infidelity has caused to so many people, most of all my wife and children. I want to say again to everyone that I am profoundly sorry and that I ask forgiveness. It may not be possible to repair the damage I've done, but I want to do my best to try.

I would like to ask everyone, including my fans, the good people at my foundation, business partners, the PGA Tour, and my fellow competitors, for their understanding. What's most important now is that my family has the time, privacy, and safe haven we will need for personal healing.

After much soul searching, I have decided to take an indefinite break from professional golf. I need to focus my attention on being a better husband, father, and person.

Again, I ask for privacy for my family and I am especially grateful for all those who have offered compassion and concern during this difficult period.

The statement did not elaborate on whether Woods' announcement would impact his business relationship with the sports equipment and clothing company, which has worked with him for more than a decade.

Woods' other sponsors include: PepsiCo's Gatorade, Procter & Gamble's Gillette, Electronic Arts and Nike.

The Professional Golfers' Association Tour said it supports Woods and looks forward to his return to the game.

R&B superstar Beyonce topped the list of nominees for the 52nd Grammy Awards, leading the way with 10 nods ahead of teenage country star Taylor Swift with eight.

Beyonce scooped nominations in the coveted record of the year and album of the year categories, for her single "Halo" and her chart-topping double-album "I Am ... Sasha Fierce." The former "Destiny's Child" singer also picked up a nod in the song of the year category.

This year's nominations were announced at a star-studded concert performance in Los Angeles where Beatles legend Ringo Starr and Katy Perry were among the presenters.

Other nominees were the Black Eyed Peas for "The E.N.D", Lady Gaga ("The Fame") and Dave Matthews Band for "Big Whiskey and the Groogrux King."

In the record of the year race, Beyonce's "Halo" will go up against Black Eyed Peas infectious pop track "I Gotta Feeling", the Kings of Leon's "Use Somebody," Lady Gaga's "Poker Face" and Swift's "You Belong with Me."

The nominees for song of the year, awarded to the songwriters, are Lady Gaga's "Poker Face," Maxwell's "Pretty Wings," Beyonce's No.1 single "Single Ladies (Put a Ring On It)," Kings of Leon's "Use Somebody" and Swift's "You Belong with Me."

The 36-year-old Brooklyn based R&B described his raft of Grammy nods as "very surreal."

"I was living in obscurity, so to come back and to make a record based on my own life experiences and not my desire to be number one, and to have this reception -- I feel like I?ve already won," he said.

Next year's Grammy Awards will be presented on January 31 at the Staples Center for Los Angeles.
